Currently we are recruiting for a professional dynamic working Telecom Utilities Foreman. You are a strong leader, with the ability to run a crew of 3-4 people in excavation, working on unique communication systems, ensuring quality and conformance to OH&S requirements. You do not mind getting your hands dirty, building a team and working along shoulder to shoulder with them. What's in it for you?? · Full time position with a company that has the corporate culture and philosophy of quality, the ultimate best fit and the best resources for the job. · Company vehicle provided after passing probation · Comprehensive benefit plan and a very competitive salary · Cell phone Responsibilities Include: · Supervise a field crew of 3-4 in excavation construction within the Lower Mainland · Ensure quality and performance within your team · Promoting and enforcing safety and environment policies, plans and procedures · Planning and managing the job from start to finish, working along with your field crew · Training workers on proper use of heavy equipment, processes, safety and quality · Analyzing and resolving work problems · Managing subcontractors, to ensure quality control and meet project deadlines You have: · A minimum of 3 years underground utility experience a MUST. (Experience working on: City crews, road repairs, digging of trenches and laying pipes, road building and waterline repairs) · Demonstrated (by references) ability to work effectively in a team orientated environment, along with experience managing a field crew · Knowledge and a proven track record operating heavy duty excavation equipment · Knowledge of OH&S construction requirements · Working knowledge of construction disciplines · Intermediate computer skills, up to date experience with recent technology such as PDA's, Microsoft office and outlook · Excellent People and organizational skills · Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal · A self starter that is meticulous, detail orientated, extremely organized and quality driven is a MUST · Proven track record of managing and organizing workload and schedules · Ability to work long days as the position consists of 10 hours shifts + over time · Criminal Background check required - we can provide that for you · Clean up to date Drivers Abstract · Heavy duty equipment certification and tickets If you feel you have the track record and qualifications that meet all the requirements please apply by sending in a Cover Letter detailing your suitability, along with a Detailed Resume to: Amanda Langstroth (click to respond) Although we thank everyone for their interest, only those applicants that are being considered for interviews will be contacted at this time.
