Industrial Electrician - Food Processing in Delta, British Columbia

Our client is an industry leader in the healthy food products industry. We are currently recruiting for an Industrial Electrician on their behalf. This is a full-time direct hire placement for a qualified individual. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for servicing and maintaining production machinery Perform repairs and provide preventive maintenance Provide technical support and decision making during breakdown situations Provide electrical services for new machinery in accordance to the codes and standards Program and trouble shoot PLCs Inspect electrical installation (i.e.) transformers and switch gears Write reports of work required for repairs/maintenance Communicate with Millwrights Provide leadership and training for junior electricians Maintain electrical wiring and switch gears Communicate with production supervisors to schedule machine down time for major repairs REQUIREMENTS: MUST have 3-5 years' experience working on food processing equipment Hands on knowledge of packaging machines Good understanding of AC and DC motors Excellent knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), servo motors and servo drives Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and computerized machinery Proven ability to work independently and plan priorities Ability to work in team based environment and also work independently in a proactive manner Understand preventive maintenance concepts and computerized work order systems Strong written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to provide quality customer service Ability to lift heavy objects Ability to work in confined and high spaces EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: MUST have Electrician ticket Minimum of 4 years' experience in an industrial environment PLC programming certificate/training OR electrical and/or electronic training at college or university level 6 years of practical experience in food processing plants 4th Class Power Engineer ticket is preferred ADDITIONAL INFO: Shift: Monday -- Friday (Afternoon Shift) Hours: 2:00PM - 10:30 PM (Hours may vary at times; MUST be flexible) Wage: $28.89/hour + $1.00 premium for tickets and any shift premiums that may apply Please forward your resume immediately in a WORD Document for consideration!
